Description:
As a Business Process Manager in Caterpillars Oil, Gas and Marine Division (COGMD) based out of Houston, Texas, you will be the central pricing and merchandising contact for the global Marine business working in a fast paced environment.
This position will be a trusted advisor and consultant with industry business partners across the Enterprise to drive profitable growth for the Marine business while ensuring compliance, simplification and global consistency.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Aid efforts to improve profitability by providing direct input into pricing decisions and approvals (Special Price Assistance Requests (SPARS), discount programs, and related activities).
Provide sales variance management, price realization reporting and forecasting, leadership reporting and program execution support across the global Marine team.
Deliver process improvements across key merchandising processes to drive improved consistency across regions as well as the reduction of administration burden to Caterpillar and the dealer network.
Establish and analyze data tied to sales variance, value premiums, sales reporting, competitive pricing intel and related factors.
Lead the development of advanced strategic recommendations, including development of sales variance management tools to provide key business partner insights.
Achieve specific division objectives by aiding efforts to improve profitability through recommending revenue growth opportunities and optimizing the use of sales variance.
Consult with industry business partners in the development of new product introduction (NPI) pricing strategies and other key elements of NPI programs.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience concentrated in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or related fields
8 or more years of job-related experience Top Candidates Will Have:
Prior work experience in Pricing or commercial roles
Prior experience with Industries or dealer facing roles
Good working knowledge of Caterpillar products and processes
Strong analytical skills, high level of initiative, results oriented, strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities
Strong written and oral communication skills
Displays excellent business judgment Additional Details:
