Job Description:
Multiple Positions AvailableThis position is responsible for leading the lab-based software and system validation efforts for our Powertrain subsystems.
This work includes the following.
Working with Electronic system design engineers to define testing priorities.
Performing spec reviews with system engineers to determine test coverage.
Working with System engineers to test and troubleshoot new software feature.
Troubleshooting of software issues identified at our proving grounds.
Identification and implementation of new bench capabilities.
Development of automated test scripts, including delegating to on-site and offshore resources when necessary.
Collaboration with the software development teams to mature systems and tools to migrate applicable testing to Software in the Loop platforms.
Requirements:
Position requires a masters degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field and 3 years of experience performing engineering verification/validation for electronic systems.
Position also requires 3 years of experience (which have been gained concurrently) in the operation and fault modes of:
electronic sensors, actuators & inductive loads; classic controls methods (e.
g.
PID); communication networks (J1939, CAN, or Ethernet), test automation, and instrumentations & data collection tools; embedded software experience and experience in programing, version management tools, and software development processes.
Alternatively, will accept a bachelors degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field and 5 years of experience performing engineering verification/validation for electronic systems.
Position also requires 3 years of experience (which have been gained concurrently) in the operation and fault modes of:
electronic sensors, actuators & inductive loads; classic controls methods (e.
g.
PID); communication networks (J1939, CAN, or Ethernet), test automation, and instrumentations & data collection tools; embedded software experience and experience in programing, version management tools, and software development processes.
